1. Christmas Oven Mitts
So as I was browsing my local Target (a.k.a. favorite store ever), I found these polka dot oven mitts on clearance. Score! They were a little boring for my taste, so I thought I would dress them up a little with some fabric scraps I had laying around. Secretly I’m just on a mission to add ruffles to everything I own. haha! In all seriousness, I really do LOVE ruffles. They just make everything cuter, don’t you think? 😉

2. Personalized Photo Candles
Recently I was browsing a photo gifts site and saw cute candles that were personalized with photos on the glass. I thought it would be a great gift idea for kids to give grandparents…until I checked the price and found out they were over $30 each! I like presents from my kids to actually be from my kids and $30 is out of their price range (plus who wants to pay that much for a candle anyway?) So I did some digging and figured out how to make our own personalized candles for – get this – less than five bucks each. DIY for the win!

15. Marbled Clay Ring Dishes
I’ve come to a realization, and I have a confession to make—I am a litterer. A ring litterer that is. Ever since I started doing the multi-ring stacking trend, they are scattered all over my house, as I take them off to work outside, do the dishes, or hop in the shower. So far I’ve been lucky, and I haven’t had any mysteriously disappear, but I thought it might be a good idea to keep some ring dishes throughout the house to insure it stays that way. And what’s an easy and cheap way to make a ring dish? Why, out of clay of course!
